  9. Add the batter from Step 8 to 1/3 of the meringue from Step 5 and mix well. Add the rest of the meringue and mix gently in a cut-and-fold motion.
  10. Pour the batter from Step 9 into the cake pan and put it in the preheated oven. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
