Instructions to make Multigrain Dhokla:
  1. Wash and soak all the dals rice overnight or for 5-6 hrs.
  2. Drain off the water and blend into a paste (consistancy of idli batter).
  3. Add the ginger, garlic, green chillies while blending. keep aside 1/4 cup of the soaked dal rice mix.
  4. (add this to the batter)
  5. Keep it aside in a warm place for 4-6 hrs for fermenting.
  6. Once fermentted, add sugar salt as per taste.
  7. Steam the dhokla mix in the idli stands or in steamer.
  8. In a separate bowl, add a teaspoon of eno to the batter (batter just enough for 1 /2 thali / container). mix thoroughly.
  9. Pour the batter into a greased thali / container place it in a steamer for 15 mins on high flame.
  10. Once done, prick a tooth pick to check if it's done.
  11. Allow the thali to cool.
  12. Once cooled cut into pieces
  13. Prepare takda and sprinkle over dhokla sprinkle red chilli powder also.dhokla is ready to serve.
